Middle Georgia Justice provides assistance to citizens who have a criminal record and seek relief under Georgia law. Relief may include records restrictions and sealing of arrests that did not result in a conviction, retroactive first offender applications, and more. We have partnered with the Georgia Justice Project and Mercer Law School to offer this service.
Interested citizens in our service area (the counties of Bibb, Jones, Crawford, Monroe, Peach, Houston, and Twiggs) should contact our office at 478-238-0224 to make an appointment. For those that qualify for our services, MGJ can assist in obtaining the necessary GCIC records from the Sheriff’s Office in advance of the appointment. After reviewing your criminal history and interviewing you, we will determine what relief can be reasonably obtained. MGJ will assist you in seeking relief where appropriate and on terms agreeable to you and MGJ.
